Google Connect Plugin
#31

It does work as expected if you sign in using Google / Facebook.

This has security reasons: A website may not access (connect) your Google / Facebook account without your permission - and the permission has to be granted one time.

Sorry Sad

But it ask me to connect each and every time and, after I press Connect, it tells me that I'm already connected.

Yes, it should ask every time because of google.
And the account itself is already attached to the google id - already connected might be confusing here...

You should use SSL for this plugin. It is required by google.

Well that would require me to buy a SSL certificate right?

After I installed this module and set it up, when as a google user I try to login/register it would say you are already connected as <username@gmail.com> and redirects back to forum. On the forum it still says "Hello there, guest!"

Also, when this is working, I would like to track at some point later, the number of users registered with google connect. How could I do that? Should I assign them to some group? Where would I create this new group?

Yes, if there is no certificate included in your hosting.

Could you send me a URL to your forum and check if the demo forum is working for you please?

Create a new usergroup in your ACP and insert the ID in the settings of the Google Connect Plugin.
