Glitch found: After creating a Gallery then trying to edit it, I get the following error: "You are not the author of this gallery and you don't have the permission to edit it!"

I'm sure the problem is in the gedit.php file, but I'm not much of a programmer and don't know how to correct it.

I had to chmod the uploads directory and also the images and imagethumbnails folders to 777 to get it to work on my server.

I think I included the CH-Mod thingy in the readme...

@mark-in-dallas:
What UserID and Usergroup is your admin account in?

Admin login info:
User ID = 1
Admin Usergroup = 4

But, I have also logged in as Admin as well as a standard registered user and have the same error message and problem when trying to edit galleries.

I have this addon installed on a forum that is only used for making modifications and testing purposes, before incorporating into the live forum. I'll PM you the URL and admin and registered user logins, if you want to take a look and test.

Resonded with a screen shot of the user_galleies table. The uid's in the user galleries table are correctly associated with the uid's in the users table.

!!! UPDATE !!!

While fixing Marks problem I found a small bug inside the gedit.php that could prevent some users from editing their galleries.

Please redownload the archive and overwrite your old gedit.php with the new version included in the package if you had any issues.

Thank you

The package has been updated for a second time, please redownload the archive and overwrite all files inside the galleries folder.

This update shall ensure compatibility with the latest MyBB 1.4 versions and probably the new MyBB 1.6 version.

Kind regards

Hi,

I am very interested in using this plugin, however there are a couple of things that would be important before I did purchase it.

I plan to use it on this website: www.vampirecounts.net

People post up pictures of their models etc, so I would want the following:

Each picture to had tags, which then a gallery specific search function for. The idea behind this is if 200 members have their own gallery, people can search for pictures for a specific model in those galleries.

Secondly for it to notify / flag up on the main index / search for new posts, that there are new pics or comments etc. Otherwise people could be posting up pics and no one would realise they are there unless they go looking.

A way to create a link to uploaded pics. So for example if someone has a thread describing a work-in-process they can link to a pic they have uploaded in the gallery.

Do these sound possible? Also can members upload multiple pics at once?

Oh, oh.
I have installed this plugin.
When I try to open /addons/galleries/ there is shown the following error:
Code:
You are not allowed to see code.
Yes, I am using MyStore too, but I need this plugin. And the gallery is very important for me, too!

@Disciple of Nagash:
I don't think I'll add tags but a search function is planned for coming versions of the galleries addon.
The addon comes with a plugin that will show the latest uploaded images at forum index.
Multiple upload at once is not possible and not planned.

If you buy a subscription please be aware of the fact that you'll get access to the software "as is" and that I can't guarantee any updates. I take subscriber requests very seriously though.

@magent:
Looks like a failure of the MyStore plugin, it tries to be included somehow at the wrong path. Please contact the plugin author as I don't know this plugin.
