If you use it and press like it should display "XY likes that on yoursite.com" in your profile...
So yes it should post the like on facebook.com automatically Smile

Will you eventually support Facebook connect logins or is this not planned yet?

This plugin has been updated with minor file changes to full 1.6 compatibility. Thread moved to 1.6 forums.

Interesting option, to "Like" someone's profile. Very creative. The postbit part did not work for me -- I can edit as you say, but have a question... If I have installed multiple themes, should activating this plugin have updated them all? But sometimes, for an unknown reason, it does not? I wonder if file attributes/permissions could be to blame?

Also, the Share option at the bottom of the page does not seem to work properly. I click it and FB asks me what URL I want to share. On MYBBADDONS, this feature works just fine. The only difference I can see is that I am on MyBB 1.6.

Looks Good... I will try this. Do you think it would be easy for me to get a tweet button on the posts as well?

Template edits at custom themes might not work sometimes. To understand why, you have to understand how template edits for MyBB do work:
The plugins do look for something known inside a given template, for example some html tag like this:
Code:
You are not allowed to see code.
Could be the end of a table if only one is given and then replace this tag or add something to it.
If you have already changed the template and do not have the tag that should be replaced, the script can not replace the template of course and will not add the new component.

You will have to add it manually to all templates.

Could you provide a URL to your 1.6 forum? The script was tested with my demo forum for 1.6 and worked fine...

Here is the link to my test forums site. If you need an ID, let me know, and I will create one for you.

Issues that I see:
  • The "Like" button on the postbit is not vertically aligned, and pushes the Reputation button far from where it belongs (horizontally)
  • The "Share" option at the bottom of the post does not know what page I want to share -- it asks what link I would like to share.

Thanks for any help you can give!
