Changing basic box outlines

So I am thinking of upgrading my themes, and one thing I wanted to change was the basic boxes.

By that I want to completely replace the basic edges and corners with something more fancy, so instead of having straight lines perhaps have ornate swirls etc.

I assume that to do so will involve replacing the box outline with pictures of what design, however I am not sure how to go about it.

Does anyone have any ideas how to go about this?

Not sure what boxes you are talking about, MyBB does normally use tables for layout (Sadly, bad way to do it).

Altering the tables is quite hard to do, especially with images because they use several css classes like thead, tcat, trow1 and trow2 and others.
