FaceBook Connect plugin
Hello, the plugin does not work without CURL. Deactivating CURL means deactivating the plugin.

You are correct.

You have to look at the info of the PHP.ini
You can do that for example in your MyBB ACP (Tools&Administration -> Show PHP-Info). CURL is listed there and you can see wether or not CURL support is enabled.

This thread has grown too big to be useful (23 pages).

It would help if subscribers were able to start new threads with specific problems. I tried starting a new thread but don't have permission.

This is a support thread for the specific plugin and the first post is always up to date Smile

Subscribers can open new threads in other forums to keep the subscriber forum for releases only.

The first post, even if maintained up-to-date, only has basic information about the plugin. It doesn't have details like how to enable debugging by uncommenting line 35, which can be very useful.

The first post is not a wiki.

23 pages in this thread suggests that perhaps there should be a subforum for the Facebook Connect plugin, and individual threads for individual issues. Piling more and more messages onto the same 23-page thread just doesn't scale.

Debugging should not be necessary normally and most users do not need it. It can even cause problems. That's why it is mentioned for individual users on request, not generally.
