With downloading this plugin you agree with the license rules.

Installation:
Simply upload the Php to your forum/inc/plugins folder and activate the plugin in Admin CP.
Don't forget to edit the settings to your needs!


I think this should by MyBB default but it's not (yet)

With this plugin you can define certain forums by ID where only usergroups you choose can download attachments.
You can choose attachment types which should be ignored by the rule, for example JPG.
Very usefull for sites with subscription - everybody can see the preview jpg (if his usergroup has the general right to download attachments), but all other attachments can be downloaded only by certain usergroups, for example subscribers.
You don't have to do anything special no more, no extra forum for subscribers, no secret downloadlinks - everybody can see the attachment but only some usergroups can download it

Hello Andrew, I do not recommend ghazal's modification as it doesn't work properly.
I removed it now too.

Lex allready made a MyPS / attachment download plugin, I think that should be enough.

anyway, its ok to modify this for my own needs right? on text shown when download is not allowed, can i change it to textarea instead of textbox?

Well It works for me when I tested it... and I used to modify it for my own personal use and NOT for distribution. But Unfortunately Lennart thought that I am refusing in acceptance of his License. BUT I am NOT altering any of its code including License.

Its for me, I am currently not in the subscriber group but I think that Lennart will
re-consider for his action taken against me.

It can't from the Php code (if inside if).
You did a redistibution of my plugin here and that's not allowed. I also had different reasons, I wrote them to you via PM.
